In the days and weeks following Sora 2’s release, it became quickly evident to me that police bodycam footage videos were catching fire all across social media using unexpected subjects like SpongeBob, ham sandwiches, etc. This was a strong signal for me to try and put a weird spin on the concept using a subject that is a particular strong-suit of mine; human-animal hybrids, something Sora 2 seems to particularly excel at.

Very similar premise as the answer to the previous prompt, only instead of a horse-human hybrid, I opted for an octopus.

The main inspiration for this piece was the concept of incorporating a bunch of unexpected subjects into the scene at once, which kind of overwhelms and therefore captivates the viewer in the first couple seconds. Because on the one hand, the subjects in question are already quite bizarre (human-horse hybrids) but in addition, there’s several of them engaged in an otherwise familiar activity (nightclub dancing). This style of juxtaposition tends to be a firecracker for going viral.

Building once more off the police bodycam trend, this was another exploration into a very familiar setting featuring a very unfamiliar subject. Much the same as what was featured in the first prompt example.

An intentionally grotesque exploration distorting the mukbang into something even more shocking than it already is, this time using human-pig hybrid as the extra “oomph.” Mukbangs are already a hot trend on social media, so mixing up the subject into something even weirder is fertile ground for going viral.

This was my attempt to leverage the seasonal trends of Halloween in one of my existing police bodycam concepts, adding a multiplier effect to the viral potential of my reel by combining multiple viral concepts into one.

Another mukbang exploration with an emphasis on believable aesthetics and movement. I really wanted to make a clip that looked as authentic as possible, which took much trial and error to finally arrive at.

Similar to the prior Halloween example, this prompt further leverages current events to reach newly engaged audiences. The Dodgers had recently won the World Series so the topic was burning up the social feeds. It was my cue to jump on the bandwagon with my own unique flavor of content.

Part of my ongoing collection of unlikely partners, this video strives to realistically depict a human-animal hybrid in a believable and authentic-feeling romantic exchange. Much trial and error was required to get both subjects to interact in a believable and convincing manner.

This somewhat builds off the previous exploration of romantic scenes, but more specifically attempts to juxtapose the beautiful against the macabre by placing the head of a beautiful woman atop the body of a freaky insect, adding a really unnerving (and therefore virally rich) quality to the final output.

I really wanted to depict a closer up and more intimate interaction between my unlikely romantic subjects, really showcasing the grisly details of a pretty woman who is otherwise completely and believably animal. This shock value went a long way towards viewer retention.

An intentionally funny take on an otherwise macabre concept of overweight subjects requiring medical gurneys to trick or treat. For better or worse, morbidly overweight subjects are all the rage on Instagram right now and are an effective way to get views. So, combining that reality with Halloween (which at the time was trending), it was a naturally viral combination.
